Thanks to John Prolly for putting up this piece up! Formula’s new hub design for running splined cogs. This is something that people have wanted for some time now…though maybe not quite like this. One of the limitations for fixed freestyle riders is the diameter of hubs where the cog mounts. You've got to have a decent sized region for the cog to thread onto and ample space for the hub bearing. I'm curious to see how small of a cog this little guy will seat. I wouldn't think the lockring would be necessary but at least it wont be so crucial as to how tight you get it on there. Also wonder how well the aluminum will hold up…I've seen splined aluminum sprockets get destroyed real quick but maybe the larger diameter of the hub will account for that. Either way a fresh looking hub and an awesome idea!
