Although the concept isn't new and various monocycles of this kind had already been built, it's unlikely you'll find one for sale, even in special stores. That's what happened to british designer Ben Wilson, who, consequently, decided to build his own one-wheeled vehicle, which he simply named Monowheel.
Like many others, the Monowheel is powered by pedals, however, in this case, the rider sits within the wheel, in an almost lied down position. It's not a very confortable position, but this is not an utilitary vehicle of any kind, merely a demonstrative one, ordered for the "XXI Century Man" exhibition in Tokyo.

level's gold plated frame?
Macaframa x Mike Giant x Raleigh Bicycles
San Francisco based Fixed gear crew Macaframa have been busy designing a new fixed gear bicycle with bicycle company Raleigh Bicycles. The bicycle is based on the first track bike model made by Raleigh and features vintage traditional decal. The bike’s burgundy frame is accented by white and blue stripes on the seat tube and down tube. Proud of its heritage, the San Francisco insignia’s have been incorporated into the graphics by Mike Giant, who is also from the Bay Area. Fans will need to wait another month or so as these are scheduled for release around November 2010. photos via: Prolly is not probably
